Purple means royalty. :) I add Sunshine Cleaning to the list of movies we gonna watch together. Emily Blunt is awesome (although watching My Summer Of Love and falling for her was a creepy experience due to the rest of the audience that day).
Well, then naturally it’s my color. ;) And I am totally up for some Sunshine Cleaning, anytime, anyplace. Omg, My Summer of Love, tho. I looked for that movie for so long and finally got it for about 3 bucks at a video store that was going out of business. I was kinda bummed out with the ending, but Emily’s fantastic in it. Creepy experience? Do tell.
I used a Buffy quote on you with that one. XD
So, Tuesday is usually “Cineday”, which means it’s cheaper. I saw “My Summer of Love” was on during the afternoon and decided to stay after my classes, which meant to kill some time. Funny enough I ran into a friend, told her I was heading to the movies. She had nothing better to do and joined me. And boy was I relieved. Because there were exactly two other guys in the audience. Two totally weird, creepy guys. One smelled of bad body spray and the other mad weird noises (no, I’m not going into detail, I don’t know what he did and I don’t want to). I see all kinds of people in all kinds of movies, but I will never understand why those two saw that film.
The ending… I think I came very close to cheering Mona on. Tamsin was cruel, but oh yes, Emily Blunt portrayed her so well. I didn’t look up other names beside Streep, Stucci and Hathaway when we went to see “Devil wears Prada”, but when I recognized Emily I had a stupid grin on my face. Love her and yes, especially in “Sunshine Cleaning”.
“What an astonishing thing a book is. It’s a flat object made from a tree with flexible parts on which are imprinted lots of funny dark squiggles. But one glance at it and you’re inside the mind of another person, maybe somebody dead for thousands of years. Across the millennia, an author is speaking clearly and silently inside your head, directly to you. Writing is perhaps the greatest of human inventions, binding together people who never knew each other, citizens of distant epochs. Books break the shackles of time. A book is proof that humans are capable of working magic.”—Carl Sagan (via -witheverything)
“As fans, sometimes we need to remember that the things we like don’t define our worth as people. So there’s no need to defend them from every single criticism or pretend they are perfect. Really loving something means seeing it as it really is, not as you wish it were. You can still be a good fan while acknowledging the problematic elements of the things you love. In fact, that’s the only way to be a good fan of problematic things.”—How to be a fan of problematic things (via shelloiljunior)
The Glee writers missed a wonderful opportunity to fuck the shit all the more up. I mean, they had Finn attempting to go to the Actor’s Studio, a Master’s programme and nothing really made sense. So, why not getting him ready for *drumroll* West Point? It would make even less sense, he can be in uniform and it’s only 50 miles away from NYC. Of course in your first year you don’t get to leave, but… it’s Glee. He can sing out his feelings and stuff. With DADT being lifted I’m sure Finn will find himself some gays for a show choir (let’s face it, girls will not be present). Finn Hudson is all about being a leader. West Point is all about leadership. In the world of Glee this is perfect matchmaking. I don’t believe Finn would have the grades to pull this off, but what makes me laugh is, that Burt is a congressman, he could write his nomination. Breaking the engagement was also an important requirement. It fits in so many ways. Anybody writing that fanfiction already? XD
My adoration for you just gets stronger and stronger, you know. :D
Don’t make me blush. I just wish I could put all these crazy ideas into some entertaining fanfiction like you constantly do. :)
I feel like I’m betraying my ship, because when I’m honest with myself I could cry on end for what they’ve done to Brittany this season and no amount of reading JJs analyzes can help me. Let her repeat the year, let her have ditzy one-liners, but don’t take away the supportive and insightful (girl)friend she has always been. She may not be booksmart. But she knows better than to let others drag her best friend out of the closet without speaking up. She knows better than to humiliate said (girl)friend with a sextape the whole school can see. She would try to do something as Senior Class President, well, maybe she isn’t that good with the job, but she would always, ALWAYS try her best. It’s okay to let her believe in magic, she sees magic everywhere, in the little things and most of all the people around her. And that’s the girl Santana loves. And I know why. But that girl was only very briefly seen and suddenly after years it’s hard to ship Brittana, because I have to find explanations the show doesn’t provide. You can’t tell me Santana never cared for her grades… FEELINGS!
So, this is all about Pezberry. Because all those duets just built up sexual tension. And in New York it will be set free! I mean really, has anybody in the club paid attention to the lyrics of “So Emotional”? Puh-lease… I want heartbreaking fanfiction in which Rachel nurses her broken heart about Finn (you can’t just deny it) and how Santana suddenly has all this money and New York and not the slightest idea where to start.
I want to apologize to all my followers. Brittana will always be my OTP (SCORE!), but with Rachel and Santana being the only ones who are going to New York in canon as of now (we all know the writers will find a way to get Finn’s butt kicked out of the army and stuffy stuff; plus I’d really like for Kurt to be there with them anyway), this summer will be all about Pezberry. Because my brain is still trying to come up with explanations for Brittany’s character assasination. My favored theory right now is, that she has a really busy life as a secret superhero and most of the time there is this slightly imperfect clone hanging around school. Santana is trying her best to keep the charade up. Brittany was pretty busy finding the kidnapped Rachel Berry, who is held by space monkeys that try to impersonate humans for easier invasion. Their Rachel Berry copy isn’t convincing enough though…
